The Special Operations Trailer supports communications, mapping, drone operations, planning, and incident coordination.
Drone 29 extends search, thermal imaging, and scene size-up capability beyond what crews can see from the ground.
Resources
Woodland Township includes wooded areas, rural roads, and difficult-access locations. These resources help crews reach, assess, and support incidents.
A 26-foot mobile command post with workstations for communications, drone pilot, drone assistant, observer roles, and incident coordination.
Remote terrain response unit equipped for patient transport, communications support, and off-road fire suppression.
Thermal imaging, zoom capability, speaker, and search light for search, wildfire, nighttime, and severe weather operations.
UTV 29
UTV 29 is a 2025 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 acquired through the generous support of the Haines Family Foundation. It expands emergency response capability in remote terrain throughout Woodland Township.
Outfitted with a QTAC EMS-R skid unit, UTV 29 allows safe patient transport from wooded areas, trails, and locations that are difficult or impossible for an ambulance to access. It also supports Starlink satellite internet, tablets, and communications equipment that can link back to the command trailer.
The unit can also be equipped with a QTAC 85S trailer-mounted firefighting skid unit with 85 gallons of water and a 75 GPM pump, helping crews access and suppress wildfires in areas where larger apparatus cannot reach.
Mobile Command
The 26-foot Special Operations Mobile Command Trailer is built to support complex incidents and large-scale emergency operations across Woodland Township and beyond.
It includes a dedicated conference room, multiple computer workstations, communications positions, drone pilot and assistant stations, observer work areas, and both interior and exterior monitors capable of displaying live drone and field camera feeds.
Redundant communications systems, including Starlink satellite internet and advanced radio networks, help maintain connectivity in remote or disaster-impacted areas. The trailer also supports ATAK, providing GPS navigation, mapping overlays, and shared situational awareness for personnel operating at an incident.
Drone 29
Drone 29 is a DJI M30T thermal imaging drone equipped with zoom capability, a speaker, and a search light. It provides critical situational awareness during search and rescue, wildfire, and complex incident operations.
The drone can quickly cover large wooded areas, help locate heat signatures, assess dangerous scenes from a safe distance, and operate in low-light, nighttime, and severe weather conditions.
